ABOUT DTS
Hi! I'm Jessica, a serious fashionista.

Growing up borrowing outfits from my three older sisters, I’ve always been comfortable with a closet full of hand-me-downs. When I entered my first Miss Alabama preliminary pageant, it was no surprise that I looked in their closets first to find the perfect gown. Sharing became an everyday habit that sparked a deep passion within me to share my belongings with others. It also grew my awareness of the consumerism that dominates our world today. Everyone is so busy buying new goods, that they miss the opportunity to enjoy the things they already own. My generation has become paralyzed by the contagiousness of consumerism to the point where society turns to storage units instead of donation centers, attics instead of family members, and trash bags instead of friends.
As someone who is determined to make a change, I know it is my job to encourage my generation to be intentional about sharing our possessions and time with others. We can be the beginning of a chain reaction that transforms our society into a “sharing economy.” With this mindset, “Dare to Share” (DTS) was developed.
